Dr. Stone was a breath of fresh air for both new and veteran anime fans. It featured accurate scientific knowledge, providing an educational experience for the viewers. Furthermore, the intense battle between Tsukasa and Senkuu makes the anime all the more exciting.
After all, isn’t that why you clicked on this post in the first place?!
Below, I will attempt to list the anime that are similar to Dr. Stone in one way or another. Similarly, these anime could provide you an educational experience. Or alternatively, engage you in a fierce battle between the protagonists.
I hope y’all enjoy this list. Let’s begin the list of 5 Anime Like Dr. Stone!!
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken
For those who loved Dr. Stone in terms of rebuilding civilization from scratch, you will definitely love this anime. Like Dr. Stone, the protagonist, Rimuru, reincarnated into an alternate world as a slime. However, there is a twist. And that is, he is able to gain the ability of whatever creature he consumes. Using such cheat ability, our slime protagonist then seeks out to build his own advanced civilization.
In addition, you will also find that the slime protagonist, Rimuru, is considerably overpowered for his world. And the irony of the anime depicting a slime as one of the strongest being is no-doubt entertaining. Furthermore, this is especially true for those who favor a badass and skillful MC.
Ultimately, our slime protagonist was very much similar to Senkuu in Dr. Stone. In that Senkuu possesses knowledge way too advanced for the stone age. And similarly, Rimuru possesses a cheat ability that allows him to become much stronger than your everyday mobs.

Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari
For those who love rooting for the Kingdom of Science despite being the underdog, then this anime is definitely for you. Naofumi, our protagonist, is summoned into an alternate world as one of the four heroes. However, he was strongly discriminated against for his shield ability and deemed a rapist and traitor. He then swore to never trust anyone ever again.
Similarly, both anime takes place in a completely different time or era for the main characters. Furthermore, in Dr. Stone, Senkuu must utilize meager resources to defeat the Empire of Might. Shield Hero is no different. Although the other heroes had a large number of resources, they still struggled considerably against the mobs. Naofumi, however, along with his meager yet loyal comrades, still managed to defeat the multiple waves of monsters.
Although Shield Hero is not about science and is in no-way educational, it also exposes you to a completely different world. And similar to Dr. Stone, that just means new things for you to learn and discover.
Honzuki no Gekokujou
Ascendance of a Bookworm is another anime like Dr. Stone in terms of advancing an inferior civilization. One day, a bookworm suddenly wakes up in an alternate world where books are an extremely scarce resource. Our bookworm, Myne, then decided to make her own books through her prior knowledge of the modern world.
Those who loved Dr. Stone for introducing advanced technology into the stone world will also enjoy this cute and satisfying anime. Myne is not only knowledgeable in the making of common artsy items. She is also an expert in the business. Seeing the sight of a tiny girl making business deals with a grown merchant is hilarious to the point that you will love it.
In addition, similar to Dr. Stone, Ascendance of a Bookworm also shows you insights on papermaking and various other objects. So yes, the show is considerably quite educational as well. It is common knowledge that papers are made of trees. But how? Well, watch the anime to find out!
Did you perhaps love the fierce competition and mind games between Tsukasa and Senku within Dr. Stone? If so, then please put Death Note in your next-anime-to-binge list. Seriously though, if you have not watched this show already, you really are missing out!
The anime revolves around a high schooler, Raito, who receives the Death Note from a Shinigami. Raito then strategizes a plan to become God. And that is to kill all criminals who are dirtying the world. Unfortunately, Raito, by the name of Kira, became the world’s most wanted man. And hence resulted in his showdown against L, a genius investigator whose identity is shrouded in complete mystery.
Like in Dr. Stone, the fierce competition, as well as mind games, between the two protagonists of Death Note will keep you on the edge of your seats. Both sides utilize whatever they can to gain an advantage over the other. And it is a constant race of who will kill or be killed.
In terms of being educational, perhaps Death Note will not teach you much in comparison to Dr. Stone. However, definitely watch it for the brain teasers and the fierce battle between its protagonists. As the anime will feature some of the most clever ploys and outplays you will have ever witnessed in anime history.
Are you a scientific person who loved facts. Did Dr. Stone perhaps amaze you with some of the knowledge that you wished you knew more about? If this was you after completing Dr. Stone, then I present to you… Hataraku Saibou!
This anime is one of the most educational anime I have ever watched. And If you watched this anime for its plot, I’m sorry, but you are in the wrong place. Hataraku Saibou showcases you the everyday functions of the human bodies. Within 12 episodes, or 5 hours, you will learn more about cells, molecules, bacteria, and other fundamental biology terms than you will ever learn in your Biology I class.
In a way, this show is a work of pure genius. The overall production was so entertaining and fun, that it takes absolute zero effort to retain the information. Through minimalistic style story-telling, the anime accurately showcases our daily bodily functions, showing you how our body works overall.
Like Dr. Stone and its fun way of teaching you trivial scientific knowledge, this anime will do almost the same thing. If not, even better! So if you love science, or is perhaps just curious overall about how our bodywork. I really suggest you start watching this informative show now!
